I’ve seen colleagues get burned by “probably on time” promises. The vendor who can’t commit to a date is the vendor you can’t trust when it matters. Since that February 2024 incident, I’ve standardized on Emerson for all our HVAC control needs—thermostats, compressors, sensors. Not because they’re the cheapest, but because they’re predictable.
