Purpose-built control strategies for every environment where precision climate management matters
Data center environments demand cooling precision within 0.5°C with zero tolerance for downtime. Emerson's control platform manages chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, and free cooling economizers through a unified BMS interface.
Multi-zone occupancy-responsive HVAC control for office towers, retail complexes, and hospitality venues. Our systems integrate with access control and lighting BMS to create unified building intelligence platforms.
GMP-validated environmental monitoring and control systems for cleanrooms (ISO Class 5-8), stability chambers, and cold storage. Every data point is logged with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant audit trails.
End-to-end cold chain monitoring from production through distribution. Automated defrost management, compressor sequencing, and door-open event detection protect product integrity and reduce spoilage.
High-reliability process cooling control for chemical plants, automotive manufacturing, and electronics fabrication. Our controllers handle cascade refrigeration, glycol loop management, and multi-chiller plant coordination.
Transparent guidance on where our control systems perform at their peak — and where alternative approaches may be more appropriate
Cloud-connected features (remote monitoring, predictive analytics, firmware OTA updates) require a minimum of 2 Mbps dedicated uplink bandwidth per 500 control points. Facilities in regions with unreliable internet connectivity should consider our edge-computing controller models that operate autonomously with periodic data sync, rather than cloud-dependent configurations.
Standard controller enclosures are rated for -20°C to +60°C ambient temperature and 5-95% non-condensing humidity. Installations in corrosive atmospheres (ammonia machine rooms, coastal salt spray environments) require IP66-rated enclosures with conformal-coated PCBs — available as a factory option with 4-6 week additional lead time.
While we support BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and KNX, integration with proprietary protocols (e.g., older Carrier CCN, Trane Tracer Summit) requires third-party protocol converters. Commissioning timelines for legacy retrofit projects typically extend 2-4 weeks beyond new-build installations due to field mapping and point reconciliation.
Our BMS platform is architected for facilities with 200 to 50,000 control points. Sites below 200 points may find the platform's licensing and configuration overhead disproportionate to the energy savings achieved — we recommend our standalone zone controllers for smaller installations. Sites exceeding 50,000 points require a multi-server deployment with dedicated IT support.
